CONNECT.  DISCOVER.  THRIVE.

Connect

The SCYPG Connect events focus on networking opportunities allowing individuals to pop in for a drink or appetizers and network in a casual atmosphere. There is no agenda for our connect events just bring your business cards and be ready to share information about your business as well as possible leads for others.

Fresh Brewed Business – Our most popular event is held January through November on the last Friday of the month.  This roundtable type of event gives everyone the chance to give updates to the group, pass out marketing materials and business cards. SCYPG pays for your morning beverage.

YPs on Tap – This after-hours event occurs quarterly and is held at a local restaurant or bar.  This networking event does not have a set agenda. There is a 50/50 drawing and your first drink is on the SCYPG.  The YPs on Tap events are held in April, July and October.

Discover

THE SCYPG Discover events are quarterly events that focus on either professional development or mentoring.

Mentor Monday Lunch – SCYPG members will have the opportunity to sit down for an informal lunch with Sandusky County leaders. This is your chance to pick the brains of some of the county’s most respected individuals. You will be able to hear their story, their path to the top, and then ask for career and life advice. Find out their tips for work/life balance, education, and career moves. This informal event has limited seating and will be held every February, May, August, and November.

Leadership Book Club Series – This series will be held throughout the year with a focus on strengthening leadership skills either personally or professionally. A YP Board member will break down the book and hold roundtable discussions for book club members. If possible the series will end with a speaker on the main topic of the book.

Thrive

The SCYPG Thrive events are quarterly events that focus on community events and personal development.

Thrive Events – These quarterly events are meant to focus on personal development and community involvement. There will be speaker events or activities announced throughout the year and opportunities for young professionals to volunteer their time to make our community a better place.
